The Customer Solutions Manager for Engineered and Integrated Solutions will spearhead the Engineered Solutions Segment within OPS America, aiming to increase WEC's CANDU market presence by addressing the needs of operating plants with unique and competitive offerings, including solution selection, pricing strategies, responsiveness, and bid quality.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technical elements of proposals within the EIS product portfolio, encompassing reactor vessels and associated products, primary components, plant upgrades, and life extensions, while coordinating input from Product Management, Project Management, and Delivery as necessary.
- Calculate costs for each component included in technical proposals, supporting Commercial Sales to achieve target margins while ensuring acceptable risk management.
- Engage with customers to identify evolving needs and generate future demand for OPS.
- Address urgent customer inquiries for immediate needs, rapidly formulating proposals for necessary solutions in collaboration with Global Markets and Commercial Sales.
- Compile monthly demand reports based on project pipelines with GOS to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Aggregate projected revenue and margins, with execution financials sourced from project portfolios for regional leadership.
- Jointly manage the approval process for releasing WEC intellectual property to external stakeholders, including customers, alongside GOS.
- Collaborate with Project Management teams to stay informed on project statuses, aiding future customer interactions regarding products and business development.
- Contribute to OPS product strategy by relaying customer insights from the region to Product Management.
- Provide technical expertise to support Commercial Sales and Global Markets throughout the contract negotiation phase.
- Maintain continuous engagement with customers to better understand their needs and challenges, as well as to receive tender documents, specifications, and requirements.
- Ensure compliance of proposed solutions and projects with relevant regulations.
- Gather cost estimates for materials and other technical data to inform bidding processes.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; 10 years is preferred.
- P.Eng. designation is preferred.
- Familiarity with CSA quality standards (N299, N285, etc.) and CANDU technology.
