Job Summary

Chimera Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Prepare building sites for construction by clearing land, excavating foundations, and laying out reference points.
  • Structural Framing: Construct the basic structure of buildings, including installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Work: Install doors, windows, stairs, moldings, and hardware to complete the interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work in progress and completed projects to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of an apprenticeship program in carpentry or a related trade.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related trade, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols; ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches; and proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments; ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
