Job Title: Food Service Counter Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team at Southside Market.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the efficient operation of our food service counter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards and ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized and stored properly.
  • Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies, restock refrigerators and salad bars, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, package take-out food, and portion and wrap foods.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and handle customer transactions.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and adaptability.
