Our mission is to provide exceptional Person-Centered support through a variety of residential, individualized, and community-based services, enabling individuals to achieve their fullest potential. With a dedicated team of over 500 employees, we proudly serve more than 400 individuals across the Lower Mainland.
About the Role
As a support worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist and actively engage individuals in leading fulfilling and increasingly independent lives. We seek motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about person-centered support. Your role may involve helping individuals explore their community, acquire new life skills, secure employment, and more. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting individuals in achieving various life goals
- Facilitating community outings, including volunteering, paid employment, and recreational activities
- Keeping detailed records of daily activities and progress towards goals
About You
You possess a genuine interest in supporting others and demonstrate an understanding of the person-centered and active support methodologies. Additionally, you meet the following requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Clear criminal record (cost covered by CLS)
- Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting individuals in a pool environment
- Previous paid or volunteer experience in a similar role
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
- Familiarity with the Mandt System
- Knowledge of Person-Centered Active Supports
