Key Responsibilities- Act as the Cabin Engineering focal with Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Prepare and manage various types of engineering documentation to support start-of-design activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Define technical requirements and participate in strategic planning, driving innovation and process improvement.
- Support suppliers in understanding and adhering to Business Area (BA) processes and best practices, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Identify and propose opportunities for product and process improvement, focusing on cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction, and other key areas.
- Review specifications for accuracy across documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Monitor project potential technical issues, including critical designs, risks, and other key concerns.
- Support Program Change Requests (PCRs), coordinating technical integration meetings, analyzing, and defining technical proposals to meet program needs.
- Participate in aircraft go-and-see activities in production to assess build or installation issues, driving continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and upper management, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Validate certification documents as required, ensuring design compliance with regulations.
- Act as a technical leader, transferring knowledge through coaching and mentoring within the larger team, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- More than 10 years of relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions, with Cabinet experience being an asset.
- Solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.).
- Well-organized and focused on projects, with the ability to understand complex engineering issues and drive innovative problem-solving.
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, adapt easily to changes, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated individual, a team player able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent track record of meeting commitments with success.
