Job Overview

The General Manager - Retail is a key leadership position responsible for driving the success of our retail stores. As a seasoned retail professional, you will be accountable for leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Performance
    • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sales targets, profitability goals, and customer satisfaction metrics.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform business decisions.
    • Lead regular store assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and develop a high-performing team by attracting, retaining, and growing talent.
    • Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
    • Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Culture and Community
    • Model Indigo's values and behaviors, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and retention.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent experience in retail management or a related field.
  • 6+ years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Quebec.
