Position Overview:

The role of a Dental Hygiene Specialist involves delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive dental hygiene services. The responsibilities include:

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough evaluations to devise tailored patient care strategies.
  • Preventive Services: Execute a range of preventive clinical hygiene tasks, such as scaling, root planing, polishing, applying topical fluoride, and administering pit and fissure sealants.
  • Patient Education: Act as a dental health educator by introducing innovative prevention methods and providing counseling to enhance patient understanding.
  • Consistent Patient Experience: Ensure a seamless and positive experience for patients during their dental hygiene appointments.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with patients while upholding ethical professional standards.
  • Personalized Care: Enhance patient loyalty by delivering a customized experience that aligns with their individual needs and expectations.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate active listening and empathy towards patients through proficient communication techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a diploma or degree in dental hygiene.
  • Be registered and/or hold valid authorization from a recognized dental hygiene regulatory authority in the respective province.
  • Maintain a current CPR certification.
