Mathematics Educator Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time Senior Level Math Teacher-Tutor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mathematics and be comfortable teaching students in Grades 11-12 at all levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Mathematics to students in Grades 11-12 at all levels
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement Mathematics programs
  • Stay up-to-date with current Mathematics curriculum and teaching methods
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 Mathematics curriculum, particularly senior Mathematics and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, and vectors
  • Experience teaching/tutoring Mathematics at a Grade 11-12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Mathematics skills and ability to guide students' understanding
