Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at CBC/Radio-Canada. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide specialized support to Directors and Corporate Managers in the areas of Accounting and Reporting. This includes conducting detailed and complex analysis and research of financial information and other non-financial data to support those activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed and complex analysis of financial and non-financial data to support the quarterly IFRS Financial Statements for Senior Management and the Audit Committee;
  • Prepare the Consolidated IFRS Financial statements included in CBC/Radio-Canada's Annual Report;
  • Conduct analysis to ensure adherence to accounting policies, practices, internal controls, identify deviations and make recommendations for changes;
  • Provide guidance and liaison with different Finance stakeholders to gather information to support the results of their analysis;
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management and the Audit Committee.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent);
  • Three to five years of experience in related field demonstrating growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility;
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English;
  • Knowledge and experience in areas of financial reporting and accounting;
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
