About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Pratima Sehgal. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and linen management.
  • Exercise and Activity: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, and engage them in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, their families, and our team to ensure seamless care and support.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often with multiple clients and tasks to manage. You will be required to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, and may need to work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes and community facilities.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication, initiative, patience, and honesty.
