Job Title: Senior Cloud Platform Software Developer

Wind River Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Platform Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions for our cloud-based products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Linux-based platform services for Kubernetes-based applications
  • Leverage OSTree and Linux package management for upgrade and patching with minimal service outage
  • Design and implement configuration management solutions using Puppet and Ansible
  • Contribute to the StarlingX open-source project under the OpenStack Foundation
  • Participate in agile development and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Python
  • 5+ years of experience in building infrastructure software for highly scalable and distributed systems
  • Track record of building and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems
  • Proficient in C/C++, shell scripting, and L2/L3 networking
  • Contribution to the open-source community
