Animal Care Attendant

The BC SPCA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the Surrey Animal Centre. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality animal care, including feeding, cleaning, and providing fresh water to animals in our shelter.
- Assist with animal intake, including receiving and processing animals for surrender.
- Support front office staff with administrative tasks, such as answering phones and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with other shelter personnel to maintain a clean and safe environment for animals and staff.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the shelter.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract.
- Demonstrable interest in animal welfare and a sound knowledge of animal behavior and health.
- Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills sufficient to deal effectively with front office routines.
