Position Overview:
The Manager of Employment Services will play a crucial role in the orchestration, implementation, and management of employment and training initiatives aimed at Métis clients across Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator, the Manager will oversee partnerships and negotiate proposals; engage with public, private, governmental, and other stakeholder organizations; manage employment and training initiatives; ensure compliance with established standards in client case management; monitor service delivery for Métis clients; supervise and lead staff in accordance with organizational policies and collective agreements; participate in regional assessments of labor market needs; and perform additional responsibilities as required.
Travel within the province is an essential component of this role.Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Commerce, or a related discipline; possess experience in managing diverse teams; demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight; collaborate effectively with colleagues and external agencies; exhibit strong interpersonal skills; and possess excellent communication and workload management abilities. Preferred candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in delivering career services or community-based programs; a comprehensive understanding of Métis culture; and a solid grasp of current labor market trends and issues in Saskatchewan.
