Tremco Roofing is seeking a skilled Millwright III to join our team. As a Millwright III, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in our plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment using lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
- Maintain and install pipes, airlines, vacuum lines, and drain lines.
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on automatic, stationary, and plant ancillary equipment.
- Maintain an appropriate level of inventory of parts and supplies.
- Standardize work procedures and checklists to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Record all information and findings in a log.
- Review work orders to determine which work needs to be performed and prioritize accordingly.
- Make necessary repairs, including welding and setting up equipment.
- Communicate with production regarding machine maintenance.
- Determine if the job can be completed by internal resources.
- Document and replenish parts required for repairs.
- Source parts and enter them into the SAP system.
- Create a list of pipes and steel required for the facility.
- Ensure adequate levels of inventory of water treatment chemicals and filters.
- Provide project support for capital projects, equipment modifications, and lean initiatives.
- Follow safe work procedures and practices.
- Recognize and report hazards.
- Attend health and safety meetings.
- Participate in training, audits, and inspections.
- Comply with legal duties and Tremco safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- More than 7 years of related experience and/or training required.
- Millwright certificate required.
- Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry, and hot work permit.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment.
- Effective team player, self-motivated, and quick learner.
- Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $38.80 and $44.60. Tremco Roofing offers a variety of benefits to its employees, including extended health and dental insurance, paid company holidays, paid time off, a group retirement savings program, a defined benefit pension plan, performance-based bonus eligibility, health and fitness subsidies, and access to company employee assistance programs.
