Job Summary


The Millwright III role is a key position at Tremco Roofing, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant maintenance activities. As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for installing, fixing, maintaining, and improving machinery and equipment using a range of tools and techniques.



Key Responsibilities



  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades of equipment and machinery.
  • Use various tools and equipment, including lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools, to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain and install pipes, airlines, vacuum lines, and drain lines, ensuring the plant's systems operate smoothly.
  • Conduct preventative and emergency maintenance on automatic, stationary, and plant ancillary equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring timely restocking and reducing waste.
  • Review work orders, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively with production teams to ensure efficient equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams regarding machine maintenance, resolving issues promptly.
  • Determine the feasibility of completing tasks using internal resources, leveraging expertise and minimizing external support requirements.
  • Document and replenish parts required for repairs, accurately recording inventory levels and costs.
  • Source parts and enter them into SAP, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing delays.
  • Develop and maintain lists of required pipes and steel, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of water treatment chemicals and filters, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide project support for capital projects, equipment modifications, and lean initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, recognizing and reporting hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training, audits, and inspections, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and company policies.
  • Comply with legal duties and Tremco Roofing safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.


Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • More than 7 years of related experience and/or training is required.
  • Millwright certificate is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry, and hot work permit.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and respond urgently to down equipment.
  • Effective team player, self-motivated, and quick learner.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, talk, hear, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.


Benefits and Compensation


The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $38.80 and $44.60. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
