Job Title: Group Fitness Instructor
Location: Abbotsford Areas
Hours: Mornings, afternoons, evenings from 5:00am to 10:00pm
Days: Classes run 7 days a week
Description:
The City of Abbotsford is looking for passionate and skilled fitness professionals to lead group exercise sessions at our community recreation facilities. As a Group Fitness Instructor, your role will be to foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere for participants aiming to enhance their physical fitness and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and oversight in fitness environments
- Design and implement well-organized fitness classes
- Modify teaching strategies to accommodate the diverse needs of participants
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are safe and well-maintained
- Provide outstanding customer service to all participants
Required Qualifications:
- Valid fitness certification (BCRPA or equivalent)
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and fitness apparatus
- Capability to operate within professional boundaries
Compensation: Starting at $23.61 per hour
