Who We Need
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, we are in search of a Brand Director. You will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall vision of what Yorkville University embodies and how it creatively presents itself.

You will lead a team of four direct reports and oversee media planning, business growth reporting, and daily marketing performance.

Your role will involve the exciting challenge of developing and executing brand strategies for various programs and degrees.

This position offers the chance to elevate an established brand and its numerous educational programs to new heights through innovative and engaging tactics and messaging.

You will collaborate across the organization to socialize and secure buy-in prior to launch, pushing the creative direction through innovative thinking.

Your focus will be on generating traction and excitement to firmly establish visibility in the market at local, national, and international levels.

You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and launching a robust brand recognition campaign for our new degree offerings.

Who You Are
You may currently be a Senior Brand Manager or a newly appointed Director of Marketing, seeking a role with greater ownership, influence, and accountability.

You possess the ability to execute and implement strategies while also demonstrating the strategic and analytical strengths of a thought leader.

Your energy and fresh ideas inspire and drive marketing initiatives and the work of your team.

You are eager to bring impactful and exciting initiatives to current and prospective staff and students, adhering to our brand while enhancing our recognition and fostering a modern academic culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Execute Brand Strategy: You will oversee and lead our external brand strategy, aligning it with our vision for global growth.

    You will explore existing platforms and introduce innovative and creative content—photo, written, and video—that resonates with our target audiences, elevates our brand, and boosts engagement among current and prospective students.

  2. Optimize Digital Marketing: You will employ a data-driven approach to establish systems and processes for planning, executing, and optimizing brand marketing campaigns.

    Your leadership will extend to digital media trafficking, reporting, and optimization to drive audience growth and achieve both short and long-term objectives.

    You will respond to insights and adjust our approach to strengthen brand connections and differentiate from competitors.

  3. Collaborate: You will cultivate and maintain partnerships with business and academic leaders to gather insights that shape program and degree-specific branding strategies.

    Collaboration with peers in brand and performance marketing, analytics, and creative services will be essential to ensure that communications and content align with our overarching strategy.

  4. Lead: You will manage and mentor a creative, insightful, and enthusiastic team, focusing on operational excellence and ROI while fostering a culture of collaboration and creative curiosity.

    Your oversight will include the execution, reporting, and optimization of brand roadmap activities.

What You Bring:

The Background: You are an enthusiastic brand builder, storyteller, and strategic thought leader with expertise in brand marketing management.

You have the capability to construct and execute a brand and campaign roadmap, bridging digital and traditional marketing.

Your experience includes working with multi-site, matrixed organizations and considering scalable programs that localize where necessary. Exposure to branding in education is a plus.

You can adapt your messaging based on deep insights into the target demographic and engage global audiences through social media.

Your analytical skills enable you to make data-driven decisions, interpret conversion rates, and derive insights from performance metrics. Proficiency with marketing, data, and analytics tools, as well as digital platforms, is essential. Familiarity with photo and video editing software is advantageous.

The Leadership: You are passionate about nurturing and inspiring a creative team, leading by example.

Your ability to pivot the team's focus will enhance campaign performance and achieve measurable results.

You have experience managing brand marketing projects from inception to completion, driving progress, managing competing priorities, and motivating cross-functional groups to meet deliverables seamlessly.

Your meticulous approach to tracking, record-keeping, and reporting allows you to understand, develop, and manage marketing reports effectively.

A passion for continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing is essential.

The Interpersonal Skills: You possess exceptional communication skills, with strengths in brand journalism, localizing content where appropriate, and adapting your approach, length, and voice to suit various social media platforms and target audiences.

Your ability to influence both with and without authority enables you to build trusting relationships with peers, executive leaders, administrators, faculty, and students.
