About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Saplings Outdoor Program. As a Forest School Educator, you will play a key role in creating a dynamic and engaging outdoor learning environment for our young Saplings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a comprehensive forest school program that promotes hands-on learning and exploration.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, including risk management and emergency preparedness.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective program that meets the needs of all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth and successful program.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree.
  • Current BC Early Childhood Certificate.
  • Clean Criminal Record Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience working with children ages 2.5-5 years old.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs/neurodivergence.
