The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting curriculum-related content to multiple elementary classrooms. They will apply current pedagogy to support student success and demonstrate a commitment to equity, reconciliation, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum-related content for multiple elementary classrooms

  • Demonstrate a commitment to equity, reconciliation, and inclusion in the classroom
  • Utilize effective strategies to engage and support academic success for all learners in an inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to enhance the school as a learning community
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education with experience in elementary education
  • Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Social-emotional competencies of self-awareness, empathy, flexibility, and relationship-building
  • Proven ability to implement effective strategies to engage and support academic success for all learners in an inclusive environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with positive behavior support and a willingness to support the implementation of school-wide initiatives
  • Training in trauma-informed practices
