Job Description

Solutions Architect

On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, we are seeking a Solutions Architect.

Solutions Architect – Role Overview

  • Oversee and direct technical solutions for enterprise initiatives and project portfolios.
  • Develop effective solutions based on business needs, as defined by Account Managers and Business Analysts.
  • Create conceptual and logical architectures to fulfill strategic business, financial, and technological goals through comprehensive documentation of systems, architectures, process flows, and value chains.
  • Ensure compliance of the solution design with all pertinent internal standards and external regulations.
  • Balance trade-offs between market speed, quality, and financial implications.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Analysts to clarify application requirements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions.
  • Clarify application components and consolidate requirements for Account Managers, which are subsequently communicated to the business for validation.
  • Work in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture team to assess the feasibility of application enhancements or developments and address key questions such as:
    • Are these requirements feasible for implementation?
    • Are these requirements aligned with existing application features and limitations?
    • What will the completed solution look like?
  • Present and advocate for the solution at various governance forums.

Solutions Architect – Essential Skills

  • Enterprise, application, and information architecture design - Required
  • TOGAF framework - Required
  • SOAP/XML and RESTFUL/JSON schema design and implementation - Required
  • Database structures and relational database design and modeling - Required

Solutions Architect – Preferred Skills

  • Experience with mobile or online banking channels projects/groups - Desired

Qualifications

  • Enterprise, Application, and Information Architecture Design: 10 years (Required)
  • TOGAF Framework: 10 years (Required)
  • SOAP/XML and RESTFUL/JSON Schema Design and Implementation: 10 years (Required)
  • Database Structures and Relational Database Design and Modeling: 10 years (Required)
  • Mobile or Online Banking Channels Projects/Groups: 10 years (Desired)
