Retail Salesperson Job Description

Rah-Firdaus Foods & Fashions Inc. is seeking a skilled Retail Salesperson to join our team. As a Retail Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
  • Operate a cash register, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Supervise staff, including apprentices, sales associates, and design team members, to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process.
  • Advertise and promote products, sales, and services to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Perform data entry, maintain sales records, and analyze sales data to inform business decisions.
  • Train staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including inventory control and sales data.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in retail sales or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks.
  • Adaptability, quick learning, and organizational skills.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Ability to provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
  • Ability to facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Work Environment:
