Job Title: Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at GP Liquor Warehouse. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond to electronic enquiries.
  • Data Management: Compile data, statistics, and other information to support our team's needs.
  • Office Administration: Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
  • Correspondence: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Word and MS Office.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Working Conditions: 35 hours per week, permanent position, English language, and a fast-paced environment.
