About the Role

The Admissions Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of Stonehenge Therapeutic Community's Residential Addiction Treatment Program. This position is responsible for overseeing and facilitating assessments and admissions for clients to the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all assessments and admissions for the residential treatment facility in their portfolio
  • Use bio-psycho-social assessment skills and provincial assessment tools to conduct comprehensive assessments
  • Provide crisis intervention and referral to crisis agencies as needed
  • Liaise with referral sources and connect with collateral contacts to gather client information
  • Manage the client wait list and determine bed availability
  • Attend Community Assessment Team meetings for federal and provincial correctional assessments
  • Complete referrals to community agencies and client addendums as required
  • Coordinate intake process and statistical recording
Residential Treatment Preparation Program
  • Provide individual support and education to encourage treatment readiness and motivation
  • Develop and facilitate psycho-education groups based on Motivational Interviewing
  • Facilitate Crisis Intervention and supportive counselling/containment as required
  • Develop a roster of community resources and referral partnerships
  • Establish and maintain inventory of program supplies
  • Complete required documentation and reports
Public Relations
  • Provide public relations support for the residential program and broader agency
Other Responsibilities
  • Make referrals to internal and/or external programs or services as appropriate
  • Provide back-up support for Admissions program and Aftercare and Re-Entry program
  • Attend mandatory training programs and staff meetings
  • Transport clients in agency vehicle when needed
