About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Cobourg Firehouse subs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Administrative and Reporting
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely reports to management.
    • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting areas of improvement and suggesting solutions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.
