Position Overview

Reporting to the Clinical Director of the Forensic Service, the Complex Care and Recovery (CCR) Program is seeking a dedicated full-time Inpatient Manager.

In this role, you will oversee and coordinate a multidisciplinary team that delivers comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to clients within the CCR Program.

Your responsibilities will include staff scheduling, human resources management—encompassing recruitment and performance evaluations—as well as team planning, development, execution, and assessment.

Working alongside Professional Practice Leaders, you will identify and develop educational needs for staff, provide supervision to clinical team members, and implement evidence-based practices.

You will also be tasked with supporting budget planning and oversight, facilitating the execution of the CAMH Strategic Plan, engaging in planning and project initiatives, and contributing to the planning and implementation of future phases of the CAMH redevelopment strategy.

Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, ensuring that inpatient services align with program and organizational goals, vision, mission, and values.

Additionally, you may represent Management in negotiations with Bargaining Agents and will foster a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.

Your commitment to diversity, teamwork, and compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative standards will be vital.

Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline is preferred, along with five years of progressive supervisory experience in a unionized setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized knowledge in Schizophrenia, as well as familiarity with the forensic system, assessment, rehabilitation, and risk management, will be advantageous.

You will demonstrate strong negotiation abilities, an understanding of professional roles within integrated clinical teams, and the capacity to effectively liaise with external programs and agencies.
