About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at HyLife. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of products to customers, managing bills of lading, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor on-time delivery of products to customers
  • Complete bills of lading, bookings, and shipping instructions with Steam Ship Lines
  • Coordinate TL, LTL, and Multi-drop transportation for North America shipments
  • Plan and monitor container shipments, including container deliveries and returns to the shipping line
  • Select carriers for exports, referring to contracts for competitive rates
  • Identify and resolve claims and service issues
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors to maintain on-time loading and delivery
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
  • Complete customs documents, including AES and carrier shipping instructions
  • Daily management of work files and maintaining data integrity for shipment tracking
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipping schedules and tracking deposit payments
  • Report on key performance indicators and regular management reports

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Business preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a transportation environment; international export experience is an asset
  • Energy, self-motivation, and a desire to learn
  • Accurate data input skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to tackle new challenges
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, with an ability to adapt to other software applications
  • Team player mindset with the flexibility to work independently when needed
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment
