Overview of the Organization
London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) stands as a premier academic health sciences institution situated in the vibrant city of London, Ontario. With a dedicated workforce of nearly 15,000 professionals, LHSC is devoted to advancing healthcare and enhancing the well-being of the communities it serves.

LHSC serves as the provincial hub for the Southwestern Ontario Stroke Network (SWOSN), tasked by the Ontario Government Ministry of Health to ensure optimal stroke care practices across the region. The SWOSN encompasses a comprehensive network of stroke care providers, including a regional stroke center, district stroke centers, and community-based services, all aimed at delivering high-quality stroke care throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Role Responsibilities
The Director of Stroke Network Operations is accountable for overseeing the entire stroke care continuum, ensuring that all District Stroke Centers operate effectively in alignment with provincial standards. This role involves fostering collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including regional systems, stroke centers, and community partners, to promote a unified approach to stroke care.

The Director will also liaise with Accreditation Canada-Stroke DistinctionTM to uphold the standards of excellence in stroke care across the region. Engaging with facilities that have yet to achieve Stroke DistinctionTM will be a priority, encouraging them to embark on this journey of quality improvement.

This position requires the development and execution of strategic workplans in accordance with CorHealth's Action Plan, ensuring timely implementation and monitoring of stroke care initiatives. The Director will lead efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, accessibility, and equity in stroke care services.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Neurological Sciences & Southwestern Ontario Stroke Network, the Director of Stroke Network Operations will direct, manage, and evaluate departmental services. This role is pivotal in translating program leadership decisions into actionable strategies, working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Desired Qualifications

A recognized baccalaureate degree in a healthcare or business-related field Post-graduate education is preferred Current registration with a recognized health professions college A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, ideally within an academic teaching hospital Previous experience in stroke care management is advantageous Active membership in the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) is preferred Proven track record of clinical excellence and commitment to patient-centered care Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
