Job Title: Graphic Designer

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our team at Westside Church Vancouver. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visual communications that effectively convey our message and engage our audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce high-quality visual materials, including illustrations, graphics, and designs, to support our communications needs.
  • Collaborate with our team to determine the nature and content of visual materials, ensuring they meet our communications objectives.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other graphic designers and graphic arts technicians, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Estimate time and resources required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Consult with clients to understand their communications needs and develop visual materials that meet those needs.
  • Establish guidelines for illustrators and photographers, ensuring consistency in visual style and quality.
  • Prepare and coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual, and electronic materials.
  • Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources and language training.
  • Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Offer mentorship and coaching to youth, providing on-the-job training and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in graphic design or a related field.
Work Environment:
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
