About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team at JBS Foods Ontario Inc. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts as needed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts as needed.
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machinery performance.
  • Install and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy loads.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
