We are seeking a skilled Millwright Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at Redpath Sugar Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical support to our production group in the areas of packaging, processing, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the processing and packaging departments.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick and innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns.
  • Setup, takedown, and relocation of bakery and packaging equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.

Requirements:

  • Millwright License or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software.
  • Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with electrical systems.
  • Basic Electrical skills.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Welding certificate.
  • PLC troubleshooting.

Hourly Rate: $43.35
