Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Operations – Mechanical, and working in a vibrant and collaborative setting, your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in all phases of assigned projects to guarantee safe, timely, and budget-conscious delivery.
- Generating project status reports for project leaders.
- Participating in project discussions concerning mechanical challenges and addressing technical inquiries.
- Maintaining professional relationships with general contractors, clients, and consulting engineers; assisting in problem resolution and system integration.
- Compiling operational manuals and ensuring documentation remains current.
- Collaborating with Project Services, Finance, Safety, and Estimating teams to keep project timelines and deliverables on track.
- Coordinating with Superintendents, Supervisors, and Foremen in the field.
- Working closely with the Estimating team to align bidding and project methodologies, as well as managing project expenses.
- Ensuring working drawings are produced as necessary and reviewing specifications and shop drawings.
- Overseeing change orders, preparing documentation for claims, and ensuring accurate monthly billing.
- Collecting field timesheets and formatting reports for payroll and cost management.
- Participating in debriefing sessions once projects reach substantial completion.
Candidate Profile:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in drafting with Autocad is an asset.
- Experience in preparing technical reports/presentations and managing engineering drawing revisions.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to convey ideas and information clearly and concisely to the relevant audience.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Capability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Job Details:
- Permanent, full-time position
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday schedule
