About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at JOHNNY ROCCO'S ITALIAN GRILL. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and meet health and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Italian cuisine.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physically demanding work conditions.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, organized, reliability, team player, and ability to work in a permanent role with 35 to 40 hours per week.
