The role of the Unregulated Care Provider is essential within our community, significantly influencing the lives of our residents and nurturing meaningful human connections.
As an Unregulated Care Provider, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Keeping accurate resident records and necessary documentation in line with established policies and legal standards.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring any changes in residents' conditions, reporting findings to the Director of Wellness.
- Notifying the Director of Wellness or General Manager about incidents, near misses, illnesses, or any concerns regarding residents.
- Offering direction to Guest Attendants to ensure that care tasks are fulfilled and any changes in residents' needs are communicated to the Director of Wellness.
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents by applying infection control measures.
- Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Personal Service Worker certificate program.
- Successful completion of on-site Medication Administration training and ongoing quarterly competency evaluations.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Experience with senior care and understanding of the aging process.
- All candidates must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medication administration is advantageous.
