About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Technician - Compliance Pack Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of prescription orders prior to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough product verification on all compliance packs prepared to guarantee accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery.
  • Operate and maintain the Vandenbrink Blister Packaging Machine® used to generate and produce weekly compliance packs for our stores.
  • Verify compliance packs using the Vandenbrink Blister Packaging Machine® Software.
  • Prepare and package medications with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify each package quickly and accurately to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare compliance packs for delivery in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper stock levels and inventory management to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Adhere to proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures for drugs and returns to stock in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Commit to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging, fostering a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of continuous work experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail) is an asset.
  • Experience with high-volume filling environments is an asset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to provide exceptional service to our customers.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable standing for a portion of the shift, with the ability to adapt to changing work demands.
