Position Overview

BeGlobal is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of industrial settings, including manufacturing plants and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine appropriate work procedures.
  • Machinery Installation: Install, align, dismantle, and relocate stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, utilizing hand and power tools according to layout plans.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes and jacks, to position machinery and components during installation and repair.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct inspections and examinations of machinery and equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions.
  • System Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable logic controls.
  • Repairs: Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components as necessary.
  • Fabrication: Utilize machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts needed for machinery maintenance and setup.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other routine maintenance tasks on machinery.
  • Foundation Construction: Construct or direct the construction of machinery foundations.
  • Assembly: Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using various tools and welding equipment.
  • Textile Machinery Expertise: Apply mechanical repair principles to ensure optimal operation of textile machinery.
  • Defect Detection: Identify defects and excessive wear in machinery and assess component parts for dimensional accuracy.
  • System Overhaul: Repair and overhaul electrical and mechanical systems on textile machinery, ensuring proper alignment of moving parts.
  • Complex Machinery Setup: Set up and adjust intricate machinery for new patterns and products.
  • Maintenance Analysis: Analyze data to perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication, and test machinery for proper operation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with management to recommend equipment modifications and evaluate new machinery.
