Quality Assurance Supervisor Opportunity

Highbury Canco, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Leamington, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily activities of Quality Analysts, including scheduling, task prioritization, and development opportunities.
  • Coordinate Held Stock program, investigating root causes, assessing risk, and developing corrective actions.
  • Provide timely evaluation and disposition of held stock.
  • Accurately gather, review, and trend data for analysis and reporting.
  • Manage foreign material control programs, including validation, testing, and calibration activities.
  • Assist with maintenance of quality systems, including written program updates.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify improvements.
  • Participate in new product launches to verify process compliance.
  • Represent the company during government and customer facility audits.
  • Assist QA Manager with consumer and customer concerns.
  • Conduct employee training and verification activities.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in a food-related science program or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience in food quality or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GFSI, SQF, Safe Food for Canadians Act, and Food Safety Modernization Act is an asset.
  • PCQI certification is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
  • Time management and organization.
  • Strategic and critical thinking.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
