As a Senior Technician - Security at Paladin Technologies, you will work collaboratively to review, comprehend, analyze, and execute installation blueprints and plans provided by Project Managers and Sales Teams to successfully complete installations.
This position necessitates the expertise to effectively carry out installations, adhere to the Bill of Materials (BOM), and possess the capability to make adjustments or identify alternative solutions as required to ensure client satisfaction.
We expect all team members to represent Paladin in a professional manner, aligned with our core values of leadership, people development, teamwork, and client focus. Although based in Vancouver, travel to various job sites across the region may be necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, program, and configure security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and fence detection systems, in compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to guarantee the ongoing functionality and reliability of security systems. Promptly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and associated components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cabling systems with other network infrastructure components. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabling systems, including signal quality, connectivity, and performance. Work closely with clients to assess their security needs, provide expert recommendations, and offer tailored solutions. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism. Maintain accurate documentation of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet service level agreements and contractual obligations. Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use. Stay informed about advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices. Continuously enhance your technical skills through training and certifications. Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to the installation and maintenance of security systems. Perform administrative duties, including providing project updates to Project Managers and completing all necessary project documentation. Be available for on-call duties outside of regular hours, as needed. Utilize your expertise to mentor colleagues, offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak operational efficiency. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industries is required. Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment. Programming experience is preferred for senior positions. Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, etc.). Valid TQ certification is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to travel 50% to 70% of the time. Ability to learn and work on various systems, such as AV and data structuring, is an asset. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record. Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.

Hourly Pay Range: $37ph - $50ph DOE
