Pharmacist - Relief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Sobeys Pharmacy Cape Breton Relief in Cape Breton, NS.
About the Role:The Relief Pharmacist will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies working shifts scheduled by the Relief Coordinator. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments
- Prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Assistants when available
- Initiating care plans, following up, and documenting
- Coaching pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants (if applicable)
- Collecting relevant patient, drug, and disease information
- Identifying actual and potential drug-related problems
- Monitoring medication adherence
- Providing patient counseling for new therapy and determining patients' understanding of their medication
- Tailoring counseling to patients' needs and concerns, including literacy, hearing loss, and privacy
- Exceeding customer expectations through ROLES efficiencies
- Acknowledging customers promptly and professionally
- Demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion towards customers
- Providing superior customer service to every customer
- Understanding all PROfile offerings and providing each customer with the program that meets their health needs, including Pill Pack Plus, Diabetes Care in Action, Autofill Plus, Health Inform, Kids Club, and Flavorx
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- A valid license to practice as a pharmacist in the province of Nova Scotia
- Injection certification
- Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting is preferred
