We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures in accordance with established standards, protocols, and radiation protection practices.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, and provide input into departmental Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
- Assist with departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and demonstrate procedures to employees and students.
- Participate in approved research and special projects in collaboration with supervisor and other health care professionals.
Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is required. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
