Job Title: Practice-Based Educator

Oak Valley Health, a leading community healthcare organization in Ontario, serves patients through Markham Stouffville Hospital, Uxbridge Hospital, and the Reactivation Care Centre.

We are seeking an innovative, self-directed individual with exceptional leadership qualities to support excellence in clinical practice and education within the Inpatient Surgery unit at Oak Valley Health.

The Practice-Based Educator plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team, bridging the gap between clinical expertise and education.

The role is essential to ensuring that clinicians, both new and experienced, are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.

We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients and communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, classroom instruction, clinical training, assessment, mentorship, staying updated on healthcare advancements, collaboration with institutions, and engaging in research to enhance nursing education and improve patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing with an education focus, a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Medicine Cardiology, and experience teaching and training adults and employing adult learning principles.
