The Clinical Resource Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team at Halton Healthcare, responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership in rehabilitation and geriatric settings.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and assist nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care
- Provide administrative support and coordinate interdisciplinary team rounds
- Review rehab referrals, direct patient flow, and assign nurses to patients based on skill mix
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a culture of excellence
- Collaborate with the care team to create individualized plans of care that meet patient needs
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BScN preferred
- Previous clinical resource nurse experience preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience required
- Clinical expertise in a Med/Surg setting required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to mentor, support, and advise others
The Clinical Resource Nurse works in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and must be able to adapt to new situations and priorities.
