Position Overview:

The Oncology Key Account Specialist is a field-oriented role that collaborates closely with Hematologic Oncologists and allied health professionals, including Pharmacists, Nurses, and Coordinators. As the subject matter expert on Sanofi products and services, you will ensure that cross-functional resources are utilized effectively to enhance the application of relevant Sanofi offerings. This position requires close cooperation with Marketing, Medical, Sales, Patient Support, and other Head Office teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of oncology products (specifically for Multiple Myeloma) within the designated territory.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets while managing the territory budget and expenses efficiently.
  • Formulate and execute an annual business strategy for the territory, informed by market insights and marketing initiatives, with ongoing adjustments to adapt to market changes.
  • Facilitate understanding of the role of Sanofi products in optimizing Multiple Myeloma treatment among healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with institutions at various levels to promote acceptance and access to Sanofi products, managing formulary and budget decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with community-based specialists to encourage peer-to-peer sharing of effective treatment strategies.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of targeted customers and accounts for local and national use.
  • Identify, nurture, and sustain customer relationships to build advocacy within the assigned territory.
  • Implement regional Other Learning Activities (OLA) and other educational programs.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including expense reports, marketing reports, and call documentation.
  • Adhere to Sanofi's regulatory and legal compliance standards.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national meetings as required.
  • Successfully finish all training programs provided by Sanofi.
  • Maintain all company property in good condition.
  • Be prepared to travel nationally and internationally, approximately over 50% of the time, depending on the candidate's location.
  • Be available for evening and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a sales representative in the pharmaceutical sector, including at least 4 years in specialty/oncology sales, ideally targeting a melanoma treatment audience.
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities for exceptional sales performance.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals in assigned territories.
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented approach to sales, articulating value propositions tailored to each contact level.
  • Possess superior persuasion and negotiation skills to secure commitments.
  • Showcase excellent technical knowledge and the ability to conduct disease/concept selling.
  • Understand local managed markets (both public and private) and institutional/hospital environments.
  • Exhibit outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Possess strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Work independently to execute strategic and tactical plans under tight deadlines.
  • Be proficient in using CRM systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email software.

Candidate Profile:

  • 7+ to 10 years of experience.
  • Mid-Senior level (4+ years of specialty/oncology experience preferred).
  • No management experience required.
  • Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Fluency in both English and French is essential.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work is necessary.

Compensation:

Competitive salary in the mid-six figures range.

Additional Information:

  • Knowledge of both English and French is required for this role.
  • This position is eligible for a company vehicle through the Company's FLEET program.
