Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Naval Architect to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our vessels, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of our vessels, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform structural calculations using empirical formulae from Classification Regulations as well as first principles.
  • Perform system calculations displaying an advanced level of understanding of systems.
  • Prepare advanced structural drawing packages for submission to Classification Societies.
  • Prepare weight estimates with a focus on structural weight estimating.
  • Prepare vessel arrangements displaying an advanced knowledge of SOLAS, SPS/ILO MLC.
  • Perform and review stability and power prediction calculations.
  • Have advanced knowledge of Classification Society Rules and Flag State Regulations.
  • Lead functional groups within the company and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum qualification of a recognized bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering degree in a related field.
  • Have at least 10-15 years of post-graduation experience in industry.
  • Have an advanced working knowledge of primary computer software programs necessary to complete Position Objectives.
  • P. Eng Designation is preferred.
  • Overall competency would be considered Advanced in their discipline.
