Security Architecture Manager

About the RoleThe Manager of Security Architecture will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Vancity's security architecture framework. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure the security of Vancity's financial systems, applications, and data.
The successful candidate will lead a team of security professionals, drive security initiatives, and provide strategic direction to fortify Vancity's cybersecurity posture. This role will also involve working with vendors to evaluate new capabilities and assessing the security risks of existing and new solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement security architecture frameworks that align with Vancity's overall vision.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the security of Vancity's financial systems, applications, and data.
- Lead a team of security professionals and drive security initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction to fortify Vancity's cybersecurity posture.
- Work with vendors to evaluate new capabilities and assess the security risks of existing and new solutions.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in security architecture, cybersecurity, or related roles, with a focus on financial institutions or similar regulated environments.
- Information Security Certifications in one or more of the following: CISSP, CISA, GISP, GSNA, GSE, CSP, SSCP, Security+.
- Information Technology Certifications in one or more of the following: MCITP, MCSE, CCNA, VCP, RHCE, MCAF.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations pertinent to the financial industry.
- A competitive salary range of $102,200 to $153,200, with a mid-point of $127,700.
- An attractive benefit package that can be customized and changed each year to meet evolving needs.
- Three to four weeks of vacation allowance per calendar year, increasing to a maximum of six weeks based on length of service.
- In addition to the 10 statutory holidays in British Columbia, Vancity provides an additional three statutory holidays, care days for short-term personal illness or emergency family illness, plus opportunities for unpaid leave.
- Three levels of health care and dental coverage effective immediately based on hire date.
