Job Title: PHP Developer

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our team at CB Canada. As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Scrum team to ensure accurate work estimates
  • Participate in code reviews and work with other developers to improve code quality
  • Provide production support and resolve issues on various operating systems
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with client-facing program management teams
Requirements:
  • Less than one year of experience required
  • Experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Candidates who can write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments will be the best fit for this position
  • Candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc., will be the best fit for this position
  • Prior work with API design
  • Proven knowledge of Laravel
  • General familiarity with Lamp Stack
  • Microservices experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MySQL
  • Well-founded grasp of PHP
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Proficiency in SQL Queries
  • RESTful Service experience
  • Familiarity with scrum
  • Knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF
  • Familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database)
