Job Title: Director of Data Science and Analytics

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Data Science and Analytics to join our team at LeaseLift. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with our company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes to drive business outcomes.
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to inform business decisions.
  • Present information using data visualization techniques to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our founders, engineering, and product counterparts to integrate data-driven insights into decision-making processes.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing data science team to drive business success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years in data science roles in the lending or insurance industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging data science to drive significant business outcomes, particularly in consumer data, banking transaction history, or credit behavior analytics.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis.
  • MSc or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
  • Big data tools (e.g., Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
