About the Role

Centrica plc is seeking a highly skilled Governance and Controls Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our governance framework remains robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Governance Frameworks: You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the governance framework relating to the Commercial function's demand forecasting, pricing, product development, route to market, financial planning, and commodity procurement activities.
  2. Operational Controls and Risk Management: You will be involved in the creation, implementation, and review of operational controls to manage process, financial, compliance, and regulatory risk, working with process owners and wider business stakeholders.
  3. Compliance and Regulatory Expertise: You will serve as a point of contact for legal, regulatory, and compliance knowledge within the Commercial team and the broader business, providing support for the Commercial team's regulatory activities.
  4. Team Governance and Leadership: You will manage team governance, ensuring that the annual plan is clearly defined, regularly reviewed, and that progress against milestones is closely monitored.
Requirements

  2. Management and Leadership: You will drive new ways of working, managing through others to achieve goals across multiple business units.
  3. Organizational Skills: You will maintain a high level of organization, manage tight deadlines, multiple deliverables, and large stakeholder groups.
  4. Change Management: You will lead change delivery, solve problems, and remove barriers to ensure results.
  5. Industry Knowledge: You will have a deep understanding of commodity markets, particularly in the zero carbon and renewable energy sectors, including associated regulations.
  6. Risk Management: You will have awareness of financial risk management, particularly in relation to pricing and hedging activities.
  7. Technical Skills: You will be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, and Power Automate.
