Avionics Engineer - Certification

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join our team as a Certification Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Avionics Systems engineering and certification, with a focus on advanced avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Transport Canada and FAA regulations, including Part 23, Part 25, Part 27, and Part 29.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and certify avionics systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Prepare and submit certification packages, modifications, and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) to regulatory authorities.
  4. Participate in testing and validation of avionics systems, including LAB Testing, Simulation Testing, In-flight Testing, EMI/EMC Testing, and Environmental testing.
  5. Approve technical data, installation drawings, wiring diagrams, component specifications, test reports, and compliance documentation.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in avionics systems, and apply this knowledge to improve our certification processes.
Requirements:

Background in Engineering: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with 5-10 years of Avionics Engineering experience, including some experience in avionics certification.

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of TCCA / FAA or EASA regulations, including Part 23, Part 25, Part 27, and Part 29, as well as industry standards such as ARINC, DO-160G, and DO-178C.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
