Radiological Technologist Position

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team. As a Radiological Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.
- Observe and maintain safe radiation protection practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including radiologists, physicians, and nurses, to provide high-quality patient care and ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain radiographic and medical imaging equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and fluoroscopy units.
- Process and interpret radiographic images, including identifying and reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of a recognized radiological technology program.
- Experience working in a radiology department or medical imaging setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
