About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Dispatcher to join our team at ASL Distribution Services Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials between departments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities, including scheduling and planning.
  • Prepare Reports: Develop and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators, such as delivery times, inventory levels, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Analyze and resolve work-related issues, providing technical advice and recommendations to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Perform Clerical Duties: Maintain accurate records and logs, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and customer communication.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as database software and electronic scheduling tools.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Setting: Transportation
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability, team player, analytical, and proactive.
